Pampanga, known as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines, is currently hosting a vibrant celebration of Filipino Food Month this April. The festivities kicked off at the Tabnuan Mabalacat Cultural Center and Mabalacat Elementary School under the auspices of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in collaboration with the Provincial Government led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda on Friday, April 5th.
Themed “Kalutung Filipino, Lakas ng Kabataang Makabago” (Filipino Cooking, Strength of the Modern Youth), the event showcased the proud culinary creations and products from every town and city in Pampanga.
Governor Delta, along with Board Members Cherry Manalo, Krizzanel Garbo, and various mayors from different Local Government Units (LGUs) across the province, graced the occasion with their presence. Notable attendees included Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda and Sasmuan Mayor Catalina Cabrera.
The celebration not only serves as a delightful feast for the senses but also as a testament to the rich culinary heritage and traditions deeply embedded in the culture of Pampanga.
