SM City Bataan Tourism Expo Showcases Bataan’s Culture and Innovation
SM City Bataan is fueling local pride and innovation as it hosts Tuklas Bataan – The Bataan Tourism Expo from October 9 to 11, 2025, at The Event Center in Balanga City.

The three-day event marks the province’s first-ever tourism expo, a partnership between the Provincial Government of Bataan and SM City Bataan. It gathers government agencies, schools, private sectors, and local artisans to promote the province’s attractions, craftsmanship, and cultural identity.
Tuklas Bataan features exhibits, cultural performances, and interactive booths that showcase the creativity and resilience of the Bataeño community. Visitors can also attend learning sessions and networking activities designed to spark collaboration and innovation in tourism.
Department of Tourism Region 3 Director Richard Daenos, PhD, praised the expo for uniting the province’s towns under one goal. “As the first of its kind in Bataan, it’s inspiring to witness each town’s effort in showcasing their rich cultural heritage,” he said.
SM City Bataan serves as the perfect host with its modern amenities and central location. “We are honored that Tuklas Bataan is being held here. SM and the Bataan Tourism Office share the same goal—to bring happiness and create memorable experiences,” said Ms. Marbie Kaneko, Assistant Mall Manager of SM City Bataan.
Beyond events, SM Supermalls continues to drive community growth through tourism, entrepreneurship, and cultural initiatives. The company’s SM for MSMEs program supports small businesses by offering affordable leasing spaces across the country, empowering entrepreneurs and promoting inclusive progress.
SM City Bataan strengthens its role as a hub for local development by merging commerce, culture, and creativity—showing how malls can fuel community pride and sustainable tourism.
