The Asian Defense, Security, & Crisis Management Exhibition and Conference (ADAS) held its 4th exhibit in the World Trade Center, Pasay City on April 27 to 29. In order to address the technological needs of the country’s security, the ADAS series was instituted last 2014 and features conventions every two years. This year’s exhibition showcased newer cutting-edge technology and modern weapons from different contractors globally, it also held numerous top experts of different areas in defense and security which made the event the perfect avenue to share and learn their knowledge to one another.
More than a hundred companies all over the world sent representatives to showcase their security technology products that can be used to prevent any form of threats that can damage the livelihoods and peacefulness of the citizens.
Companies like 4M Systems S.R.O (Czech Republic), Aerometals Inc. (USA), Defence Research & Development Organisation (India), Entegra Systems Company (Philippines), EO System (Republic of Korea), Israel Weapon Industries (Israel) and Mitsubishi Electric Corp. (Japan) are part of the many exhibitors who participated in the ADAS 2022.
The ADAS series is divided into three phases. The First Horizon commenced the course in the year 2013 to 2017 which focuses on assessing and reconstructing the efficiency of AFP in internal security challenges and counter-insurgency in the country. The Second Horizon is now in progress (2018-2022), which is concentrated on obtaining defense equipment and capabilities by the DND and AFP. Lastly, the Third Horizon is set to take place in 2023 to 2027.
Andrew Mariott, Managing Director of APAC Expo Pte Ltd. which organized ADAS, said “Building a credible national defense and security capability takes many years, and since modern technologies became obsolete in a relatively short period of time, regular upgrading and modernization exercises are needed to keep pace with perpetually ongoing developments. ADAS 2022 presents an ideal platform for this renewal process.”
“With more than 165 exhibitors representing the world’s top defense companies, suppliers and contractors showcasing their products, this year’s iteration of the ADAS Series will be the largest on record. We are therefore looking forward to a great success,”
