San Fernando celebrates light, unity, and creativity in the Giant Lantern Festival 2025
The City of San Fernando, Pampanga, is ready to glow brighter than ever. The Giant Lantern Festival 2025 returns on December 13, 2025, at Robinsons Starmills, featuring ten barangays that will bring color, creativity, and culture to life through their massive lanterns.

Recognized as the Christmas Capital of the Philippines, San Fernando once again invites locals and tourists to witness the city’s grandest celebration of light. The ten participating barangays are Bulaon, Calulut, Del Pilar, Del Rosario, Dolores, San Jose, San Juan, San Nicolas, Sta. Lucia, and Sto. Niño.

Each barangay will unveil a handcrafted giant lantern built through teamwork, artistry, and months of preparation. Behind these glowing works of art are this year’s lantern makers: Mark Niño Flores (Bulaon), Syakina Leigh Bondoc (Calulut), Florante Parilla (Del Pilar), Ryan Joshua David (Del Rosario), Teddy Aguilar (Dolores), Mary Anne Torres (San Jose), Arnel Flores (San Juan), Edmar David (San Nicolas), Karl Ernest Qiuwa (Sta. Lucia), and Byron Bondoc (Sto. Niño).

They are supported by their barangay captains who champion the spirit of unity: Hon. Lavernie Gopez (Bulaon), Hon. Jamie Capil (Calulut), Hon. Jerry Canlas (Del Pilar), Hon. Razil Escoto (Del Rosario), Hon. Allan Patio (Dolores), Hon. Darwin Manalastas (San Jose), Hon. Claro Tolentino (San Juan), Hon. Jerwin Sembrano (San Nicolas), Hon. Roland David (Sta. Lucia), and Hon. Janino Padilla (Sto. Niño).
Presented by the City of San Fernando in partnership with Firefly, Royu Electrical, CLTV36, Robinsons Starmills, and Sefalco, this year’s festival promises a breathtaking showcase of artistry, engineering, and community pride.
