In a thrilling display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship, the Philippines’ U18 softball team competed in the U18 Asia World Cup, held at the Pingtan Softball Stadium in Fujian, China. After a fierce battle with China for the bronze medal, Team PH emerged in fourth place, narrowly missing out on a spot in the U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Championship scheduled for 2024.
China clinched the bronze medal with an impressive 6-1 record, securing their position on the podium. Despite falling short of the top three, the Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Philippine team’s journey in the tournament was nothing short of remarkable.
ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishments and their contribution to Philippine softball. “Our team gave it their all,” he stated, “I am proud of each and every one of them, from the players to the coaches, for showing the world the true essence of Philippine softball. In the Super Round, they encountered Japan, who ultimately claimed the gold medal. Following that challenging match, the PH Team faced Chinese Taipei, who secured the silver medal.

Alongside the U18 team, they also secured spots in the WBSC U15, the Co-ed slow pitch, and the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup.
