Anime fans worldwide are bracing for an emotional farewell as TOHO Animation unveils the official teaser trailer for My Hero Academia: Final Season, marking the beginning of the end for one of the most iconic anime series of the decade.
The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into the highly anticipated final arcs — Final War and Epilogue — adapted from Kohei Horikoshi’s acclaimed manga. With sweeping animation, dramatic confrontations, and a powerful voiceover declaring “We’ll weave it together — our will. Our hope,” the trailer sets the stage for a dramatic conclusion to the saga of Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and his classmates at U.A. High.
Directed by Naomi Nakayama with returning chief director Kenji Nagasaki, the final season is poised to deliver a high-stakes narrative that pits Deku against the fearsome Tomura Shigaraki and revisits the long-awaited clash between All Might and All For One. The season continues to explore core themes of heroism, sacrifice, and legacy, with emotionally resonant visuals crafted by character designers Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima, and a stirring score by Yuki Hayashi.
To commemorate the anime’s final chapter, TOHO will host a My Hero Academia Special Event at Anime Expo 2025 on July 5 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The panel will feature behind-the-scenes commentary, exclusive footage, and heartfelt tributes from the voice cast and creators. Scheduled guests include Daiki Yamashita (Japanese voice of Deku), Justin Briner (English voice of Deku), and a Shonen Jump editor closely involved in the manga’s development. Fans can also expect a special farewell message from series creator Kohei Horikoshi.
My Hero Academia: Final Season is set to premiere in October 2025 in Japan, with simultaneous global streaming on Crunchyroll. As the end draws near, the series promises to go out with the same emotional impact and explosive action that captured hearts around the world.
