Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) President and Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier expressed his elation over the recent performances of one of the Philippines’ tennis players. Ruben Gonzales has been performing well in international competitions, most recently reaching the finals of the ATP Challenger Manama in Bahrain with Brazilian doubles partner Fernando Romboli. Gonzales achieved in the process his highest doubles ranking of 120.

“I am beaming with elation and pride over the news that Ruben has reached his highest ranking. This is a testament to all his hard work throughout the years and he has remained
hungry for improvement and success. I and Cebuana Lhuillier Sports will be here to continue supporting him as he tries to scale greater heights,” said Lhuillier.

Gonzales, who is gunning to crack the elite top 100 next month, reached the finals with Romboli after they toppled top seeds Roman Jebavy of the Czech Republic and Jonny O’Mara of Great Britain in the semifinals of the ATP Challenger Manama recently.

Gonzales is also setting his sights on winning a gold medal in the forthcoming Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.

“I have committed to play in Southeast Asian Games and as always, I’ll be giving my best to win the gold. I would like to thank Boss Jean Henri Lhuillier and Cebuana Lhuillier Sports for continuously supporting,” said Gonzales.
