Globe Telecom is taking a bold step forward in its mission to bridge the digital divide, as it targets network expansion in more than 100 remote areas across the Philippines this 2025. The ambitious move comes as part of the Ayala-led company’s commitment to strengthening nationwide connectivity.

According to Globe, its ongoing infrastructure developments are expected to bring the number of connected areas to 700 by year-end. These efforts will be powered by cutting-edge wireless technologies such as 32T32R Massive MIMO, designed to enhance LTE and 5G services, particularly in densely populated urban centers.

Currently, Globe boasts 98.71% coverage in Metro Manila and a 97% footprint across key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao. The company’s continued push into under-served regions highlights its resolve to create inclusive digital access for Filipinos across the archipelago.

In support of this growth, Globe invested PHP 8.5 billion in network expansion during the first quarter of 2025 alone. It also reported a 3% increase in net income, reaching PHP 7 billion, bolstered significantly by subsidiary Mynt, which contributed PHP 1.8 billion—an 86% surge from last year.

Beyond telecommunications, Globe has also made strides in digital finance, virtual healthcare, and e-commerce, underlining its role as a diversified tech ecosystem enabler in the Philippines.

With 587 5G sites deployed in 2024 alone, Globe’s steady momentum signals a robust future for telecom infrastructure in the country, placing digital inclusion at the heart of its nationwide vision.
