Finestra and Yakumi chefs collaborate for an exclusive four-hands dinner at Solaire Resort North
Finestra and Yakumi, two of Solaire Resort North’s acclaimed restaurants, are joining forces for the first time to host an exclusive four-hands dinner titled “The Code of Umami.” The special event happens on October 17 at Finestra and highlights the creativity and expertise of two renowned chefs, Joel Manchia and Cristian Asato.

The dinner is priced at Php 4,988++ per person with an optional Php 1,888++ pairing of wine and sake. Guests will enjoy a six-course tasting menu that fuses Italian soul with Japanese precision, creating a unique experience that celebrates balance, flavor, and craftsmanship.
Chef Joel Manchia, Finestra’s Chef de Cuisine, brings over 20 years of global fine dining experience. Before leading Finestra, he worked in top kitchens at Four Seasons in Houston, London, Beijing, and Hampshire, and at The Ivy Asia in Brighton. His dishes combine warmth, technique, and authentic Italian spirit.
Chef Cristian Asato of Yakumi, born to Japanese heritage, is known for his mastery of Nikkei cuisine. Trained in Lima and Tokyo, his career spans Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, including roles at Mandarin Oriental, The Alpina Gstaad, and Soneva Maldives. At Yakumi, he blends traditional Japanese artistry with soulful modern style.
“The Code of Umami” is a one-night culinary collaboration that reflects Solaire Resort North’s dedication to refined dining. Guests will taste dishes that merge two cultural worlds into one harmonious experience.
After dinner, guests can continue the evening at Skybar on Level 38, where cocktails and city views await.
