As we near the half of 2021, it looks like every Filipino is itching to know when this pandemic will end, right? Sadly, international travellers like OFWs, seafarers or tourists planning to travel are yet to have the freedom to do so due to the highly transmissible Delta Variant.

For travellers flying abroad after the lockdown, some countries will require them to present proof that they are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 before entering some countries. Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) Director Dr. Roberto Salvador Jr. urged Filipino travelers to first check with the Ministry of Health of the country of destination to know the requirements prior to entry to avoid the hassle.
As part of these requirements, the International Certificate of Vaccine (ICV) or referred to as the Carte Jaune, Yellow Card, or vaccine passport is recognized internationally AND approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an official vaccination report. Although, currently ICV is not mandatory and does not serve as an “immunity passport”.
For those of you who would like to secure or update their ICV, you can now easily do it through the bureau’s online booking system: boq.pisopay.com.ph
With its new format, you can verify the authenticity of your certificate with just a scan via a unique QR code!
It is important to note that priority is currently given to those who are fully vaccinated for COVD-19 with either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, J&J, Moderna, Sinopharm, and Sinovac jabs and to those who already have overseas contracts or flight booking confirmations.
