HONOR is raising the bar for battery performance with the upcoming HONOR X70, officially launching in China on July 15. The brand has confirmed that this new model will feature an industry-leading 8,300mAh battery—one of the largest ever seen in a mainstream smartphone.

Despite the battery size, the HONOR X70 is said to remain surprisingly slim and light, measuring less than 8mm thick and weighing under 200g. This is likely thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology, which allows higher energy density without the bulk.
In addition to the powerhouse battery, HONOR also confirmed support for 80W wired and 80W wireless fast charging, promising quick top-ups to keep users powered all day.
The company released official images showing the phone in four stunning color variants, giving fans a glimpse of its modern aesthetic ahead of the full reveal.
While complete specs will be announced at launch, earlier leaks suggest the HONOR X70 will come with a 6.79-inch OLED display (1200 x 2640 resolution), Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It is expected to run on the latest MagicOS 9 out of the box, delivering a refined and responsive user experience.
It’s worth noting that regional versions of the device—particularly those launched outside China—may see some variations in specifications, especially regarding battery capacity and charging speed.
With its combination of groundbreaking battery life, lightweight design, and fast-charging support, the HONOR X70 is shaping up to be a game-changer for users who prioritize both power and portability.
Stay tuned for full details when HONOR officially launches the X70 next week.
