Commuting in Metro Manila just got a whole lot smarter. Say hello to Rush PH, a sleek new web app that lets you track real-time arrivals for LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3—all from your mobile browser, and yes, it even works on low-end phones.
No more second-guessing or endless platform waits. Rush PH taps into the power of crowd-sourced data, allowing commuters to report train sightings which are then processed to give estimated arrival times across stations. With an accuracy rate of around 81 percent, it’s already helping countless Filipinos navigate the city more efficiently.
The brains behind this game-changing platform? Joshua Bumanlag, a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Inspired by world-class systems in places like Singapore and Thailand, Joshua decided to take matters into his own hands—designing a simple, free, and effective solution to our city’s long-standing real-time transit woes.
To maintain report quality, users are asked to log in via email before submitting sightings. It’s a small step for security, but a big leap for community-powered transport solutions.
Best part? This is just the beginning. Joshua’s roadmap for Rush PH includes adding support for carousel jeepneys, Philippine National Railways, and even provincial routes. He also plans to open-source the project, inviting fellow developers to jump in and help make Metro Manila’s commute better, faster, and smarter.
You can try it out now at rush-ph.com—no downloads needed, just your browser and a heart for making public transport suck a little less.
