Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Officially Lands in PH with Bold Redesign, Pro Cameras, and Galaxy AI Enhancements
At the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in New York, Samsung made waves once again with the global unveiling of its most refined foldable yet—the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. Now officially launched in the Philippines, the device introduces a thinner, lighter, and smarter design, setting a new standard for productivity-focused smartphones.
A New Design Era for Foldables

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable to date. It weighs just 215 grams, making it even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and measures 8.9mm when folded and a sleek 4.2mm when unfolded. Its revamped 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen now features a more familiar 21:9 aspect ratio, offering a more usable and immersive front display.
Build-wise, Samsung pulled out all the stops. The frame is crafted from Advanced Armor Aluminum, the cover glass is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, and the back panel sports Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is also IP48 rated for dust and water resistance.
Flagship Power Meets Flexibility
Inside, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The device is fueled by a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W fast wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
For display lovers, the Z Fold7 comes with an 8-inch inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen offering a 2,184 x 1,968 resolution, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits—perfect for high-quality content viewing or multitasking on the go.
Pro-Level Cameras and Smarter AI Tools
The biggest camera leap? The new 200MP f/1.7 main camera, offering 4x more detail and 44% more brightness, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS. Samsung has ditched the under-display camera in favor of punch-hole selfie cameras on both the cover and inner screens—both 10MP, with wider field-of-view on the inner display for video calls or selfies.
What powers the real magic is Galaxy AI, now fully optimized for foldables. Users can access features like:
- Gemini Live: Seamlessly interact with content by asking questions about what’s on screen or camera.
- AI Results View: Displays contextual AI answers in Split View or Floating View modes.
- Drag & Drop AI content: Easily move AI-generated text or visuals between apps using Multi Window.
- Writing Assist and Drawing Assist: Create faster and more creatively than ever before.
Running on Android 16 with One UI 8, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is designed as a true multimodal device that understands what you type, say, or see—empowering both productivity and creativity.
