Banwa Private Island, which has been in the works for many years, has been creating uproar not only in the Philippines’ Northern Palawan area but as well as all over the world. Known as one of the most expensive and luxurious private island resorts worldwide, Banwa is truly an experience like no other.
Located off the coast of Palawan, Philippines, a two-hour helicopter or seaplane flight from Manila takes you to the 15-acre island resort in the Palawan archipelago. Six beachfront villas (varying from one to four bedrooms) with a private infinity pool and Jacuzzi are available on the quiet island. The property may only be used by one customer at a time and can bring up to 48 people, costing $100,000 or ₱5,063,650 for a night. For that price, here are the amenities and activities you can enjoy!
Solitude in an Island
Visitors of Banwa, can expect the utmost seclusion and tranquillity. Banwa’s highly prized rarity is strengthened by the maritime protected area within which it is located, and as a byproduct, its marine life and supporting ecology thrive. A casual and private grandeur meets superb tailored service to offer the luxury resort you’ve long desired. It is home to 12 garden rooms, six beautiful beachfront villas – each with its own jacuzzi, infinity pool, and butler service – and one private suite on the island’s highest point, designed by Manosa & Co, MAP HK, and Aquos Group.
Nature Paradise
Palawan is often regarded among the few surviving areas on the planet where you may still witness nature at its most pristine. Banwa’s green vegetation and beautiful white sand beaches create a great habitat for wildlife to thrive in Northeastern Palawan’s Sulu Sea. Furthermore, the island is home to a staggeringly rich and diverse array of plant and species of animals.
According to the resort, it is dedicated to maintaining and safeguarding the Philippines’ natural and biological richness. They have been collaborating with Banwa’s sister organization, The Aquos Foundation, to conduct studies, awareness, and initiatives including reef restoration programs and also the establishment of regulated maritime boundaries to conserve fish and wildlife. Additionally, there is an organic farm and other eco-friendly projects on the island, including two wells that provide pure water.
Fun Activities
Aside from the scenic views that accompany you at every turn in Banwa and its peacefulness, the resort also provides a variety of enjoyable recreational activities for its visitors. Those who wish to explore the island can go to places like the Underground River at Puerto Princesa (one of UNESCO’s New Seven Wonders of Nature), the seaweed beaches of the Barbacan River, or the corals of Araceli, which have been home to a wide variety of animal habitats.
In addition, the resort features a boat fleet and water sports equipment. Guests may enjoy a variety of excursions on the island’s limousine barge, a Wajer 38, or travel to distant islands and spend the next couple of evenings on the Lagoon 630 Catamaran boat. Visitors may get endless treatments in the massage suite, play sports, or quietly rest on the beaches once they arrive on the island. There’s also beach volleyball, table tennis, pool, and soccer, as well as a health facility and workshops.
Delicious meals!
To that end, The island even boasts its own organic farm, as well as its own source of pure spring water and honey. Banwa clients can also work with a dietitian to tailor their vacation and plan a post-travel program. Nadedja Bouacha, the head chef, is a former private chef and nutritionist to the Qatar Royal Family who has also had professional training in health and nutrition. It’s worth noting that, with the exception of one of the exclusive wine lists, all activities and eating are included in the charge. The all-inclusive resort boasts a complete crew of chefs who prepare meals using vegetables grown on-site and seafood taken in the adjacent Sulu Sea. Even the resort produces its own honey. The wine list is extensive.
