Unique Kayabuki Villas
Enjoy the view of Ikigai’s beautiful Torii Garden through the comfort of their cozy Kayabuki Villas. From the outside, the most noticeable feature of the villas are it’s thatched roof and unique shape which is exactly the practice it was inspired from and named after, which is Kayabuki. According to them, they were inspired from Miyama (美山) Japan which is a remote, rural area in the mountains 30 kilometers north of central Kyoto. The area is famous for its traditional, thatched roof (kayabuki) farmhouses of which over 200 can be seen dotting the countryside.
The interiors of the villas, however, is designed in a more modern fashion, with neutral and earth colors as their most prominent theme. These villas are very cozy and relaxing, with air-conditioning, and an included toilet and bath in each villa.
