It’s never too late to plan a weekend getaway! If you’re planning a trip to Manila, we recommend paying a visit to the newly renovated Manila Zoo.
Last January, the newly renovated Manila Zoo reopened to the public. Manila Zoo, led by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, is a great place to bring your friends and family for an unforgettable experience!
This is the place to go if you’re looking for a new quick and convenient travel destination in Luzon. See and learn about animals that are native to the country. Apart from seeing these fascinating animals, there are plenty of other reasons to add Manila Zoo to your bucket list in 2022!
New Animal species to See!
As of April 2015, the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden was home to over a thousand animals representing 90 different species. A Bengal tiger, Malayan civet, monitor lizard, and hippopotamus, among others, give life to the modernized and improved Manila Zoo, and many of them were born in captivity with three-month-old juveniles recently born in April 2015.
Kois, the white Siberian Tiger, had recently joined the family as a new addition! Such as cutie, right!
FREE General Admission!
The new Manila Zoo offered free admission in January, but it is still free to visit the Zoo regardless of the month. All you have to do is go to their website and make an appointment.
Remember to bring your mask to get the most out of your Zoo visit. Indoor spaces, such as restrooms, restaurants, shops, and indoor exhibits, require masks for all (ages 5 and up). Children under the age of 11 are not permitted to enter the Zoo, according to IATF guidelines. Only those who will be vaccinated and one guardian or companion are permitted.
Amazing Architecture worth the Snap!
Because this is a modernization, the architecture is absolutely stunning! Kevin Siy, a Chinoy architect, was one of the designers of the new Manila Zoo. It’s based on his architectural thesis at the University of Sto. Tomas, what was once a dream has now become a reality!
So, what are you holding out for? Now is the best time to visit the newly renovated Manila Zoo! Don’t miss out on these incredible locations; visit their website at https://www.manilazoo.ph to stay updated.
