SM City Tarlac Book Donation Drive Spreads the Joy of Reading
SM City Tarlac continues to inspire learning and community engagement through the successful turnover of over a thousand donated books to the Carlos P. Romulo Library in Tarlac City.
The donation, part of the nationwide SM Book Nook Book Donation Drive, reflects the mall’s commitment to spreading the joy of reading and nurturing a culture of learning among Filipinos.
Mall Manager Rina M. Castro, along with mall administration volunteers, led the turnover ceremony. Their collective effort marked another milestone in SM’s continuing support for literacy and education.
Launched on July 7, 2025, the SM Book Nook Book Donation Drive carries the theme “Under the Same Sky: Share the Magic of Stories.” It aims to gather 40,000 books nationwide for various communities, including the National Library of the Philippines.
SM City Tarlac’s contribution of 1,387 books came from donors across the province, showcasing the unity of Tarlac residents in promoting learning opportunities for all.
Through this initiative, SM Cares reinforces its long-term vision of making every SM mall a center for knowledge, compassion, and community growth. The drive encourages people to share stories, foster creativity, and connect through books that inspire imagination and hope.
Each book turned over symbolizes a story shared and a lesson passed on to the next generation. SM City Tarlac’s participation proves that collective effort can bring meaningful change—one page at a time.
