SM Group Invest Balanga Awards Highlight Leadership in Local Economic Growth
SM Group reaffirmed its leadership in driving economic growth as it took home multiple honors at the 6th Invest Balanga Annual Kahanga-Hanga Awards. Organized by the City Government of Balanga, the awards recognize enterprises that have played key roles in boosting the city’s development and business landscape.

SM City Bataan and its partner establishments emerged as top winners across all categories. Their consistent performance underscored their contribution to the city’s thriving commercial sector.
Shopping Center Management Corporation, through SM City Bataan, took the Top 1 spot in Highest Gross Sales for the Micro Business Category. SM tenants Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, CLN, and Pepper Lunch were also recognized as finalists.
In the Small Business Category, Watsons topped the list, joined by SM-based brands Kenny Rogers, Botejyu, and Conti’s.
For the Medium Business Category, Jollibee SM City Bataan earned the highest award for gross sales, with The Beanery and Executive Optical—both SM tenants—named finalists.
SM Supermarket also placed Top 5 in the Large Business Category for Highest Gross Sales. SM Prime Holdings Inc. received double recognition as the Top Real Property Taxpayer and Top 5 in Highest Gross Sales for Large Business. SM Supermarket further secured the Top Employer Award for its commitment to job creation.
These recognitions highlight SM’s strong partnership with the City of Balanga. Through its investments and support for local enterprises, SM continues to build sustainable opportunities that empower Bataeños and strengthen Balanga’s position as a growing business hub.
