Green GSM is changing the way Filipinos ride. Surging to the #1 spot in the Travel & Local category on the Google Play Store Philippines before even officially launching, the eco-conscious ride-hailing app has made an electrifying debut in the country.
The service officially hit the streets of Metro Manila on June 10, with tens of thousands of downloads within just 48 hours—a strong signal that Filipinos are ready for cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable transportation.
Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company’s (GSM) entry into the Philippines with its 100% electric taxi fleet marks a regional milestone. “This isn’t just about launching a taxi service—it’s about setting a movement in motion,” said Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM. “Filipinos are signaling they want safer, greener options. And we’re here to deliver just that.”
All Green GSM vehicles are VinFast Nerio Green electric cars—sleek, modern, and emission-free. They’re equipped with the Secure to Safe (S2S) active monitoring system to ensure maximum safety, particularly for vulnerable riders such as women, children, and seniors.
In a country that has long struggled with pollution and outdated transport systems, Green GSM brings a breath of fresh air—literally. It combines cutting-edge tech with a commitment to sustainability, supporting Metro Manila’s efforts to evolve into a greener, smarter metropolis.
The Green GSM app simplifies commuting with features such as real-time tracking, a clean user interface, and transparent fare pricing thanks to both in-app rates and in-car fare meters.
To kick off its Philippine operations, Green GSM is offering 500 Green Points (worth PHP 500) to new users—redeemable on their first seven rides—until August 31, 2025. This launch promo serves as a strong incentive for Metro Manila residents to shift to greener commuting habits.
As part of GSM’s broader Go Green Global initiative, the brand is working to set a regional benchmark for “Greener – Smarter – More Civilized” transport. The expansion into the Philippines is just one step toward that ambitious vision.
With early signs of success, Green GSM is poised not just to transform how Filipinos move—but to help Metro Manila move toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.
