The vision of a more inclusive and livable New Clark City takes a major step forward as the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) breaks ground on its first-ever affordable housing project under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino program.
Spearheaded by BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang, the project is a collaboration with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and a consortium composed of Sta. Clara International Corp. and South Korea’s Saekyung Unitless Co..
Located within a 5.84-hectare masterplanned site, the development will initially deliver 840 housing units within the next two years. But that’s only the beginning—BCDA said the entire project will eventually grow to over 3,400 residential units, including mid-rise buildings designed for affordable housing.
“This project is a tangible step toward our shared goal of building a Bagong Pilipinas where decent housing is a right, not a privilege,” said DHSUD Undersecretary for Freeport Economic Zones Emmanuel D. Pineda.
Built for Community, Livability, and Local Empowerment
Designed with sustainability and livability at its core, the upcoming community will feature green parks, sports and recreation facilities, retail zones, and accessible public spaces. It will also offer close proximity to national institutions and key employers, ensuring residents have both amenities and opportunities nearby.
The development will also provide potential housing solutions for uniformed personnel, giving them the chance to live closer to their assignments in and around New Clark City.
In keeping with its commitment to local growth, BCDA confirmed that construction and operational phases will prioritize local hires, particularly from Capas and nearby towns.
Strategic Connectivity and Investment Potential
Strategic infrastructure links, such as the New Clark City–MacArthur Highway Connector Road and the Connecting Road Package 2, will connect the residential area to major hubs including the Virology and Vaccine Institute of the Philippines, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas complex, and the National Academy of Sports.
As New Clark City gears up to welcome P274.52 billion in pledged investments and an estimated 150,000 jobs, this housing project marks a foundational move in ensuring equitable access to future growth.
