The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) implements VaxCertPH as their response for the COVID-19 pandemic. The VaxCertPh is a centralized database in the country that would contain vaccination records of Filipinos and Non-Filipinos provided by the local government units (LGUs).
The VaxCertPH self-service portal will be the source of your Digital Vaccination Certificate.
What is a Digital Vaccination Certificate?
The Digital Vaccination Certificate is record that will represent your vaccination status, however, the current system only covers fully vaccinated individuals.
The certificate would show your personal and issuance details, vaccination status, an ID number, dose number, date of vaccination, type and brand of vaccine, name of vaccine manufacturer, and the country where you were inoculated.
Why should I get a Digital Vaccination Certificate?
If you are intending to go abroad, this Vaccination Certificate will supplement your travel papers and will act as proof that you are fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Vaccination Certificate will not serve as an immunization passport and will not replace the yellow card issued by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ). In addition, the certificate will not be recognized as a proof of identification and will not replace the National ID.
Who can get a Digital Vaccination Certificate?
You may get your Digital Vaccination Certificate only if you are fully vaccinated against the SARS Cov2 virus, the causative agent of COVID-19. The certificate is also issued only to individuals who got their vaccine in the Philippines.
It is not yet open to the general public as of the writing. The soft launch covered Metro Manila, Baguio City, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) only. Coverage of other areas will be implemented by the government soon.
What are the requirements on getting a Digital Vaccination Certificate?
There are only two requirements in the portal, a photo or scanned copy of your vaccination card and a government ID.
